Over the weekend of Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August, the fourth Endorse-it in-Dorset music festival will take place near the village of Sixpenny Handley in the green open setting of Cranborne Chase, Dorset. The full line-up is still being completed, however the first few crowd pleasers for 2008 have been revealed.

eFestivals can exclusively reveal that the first few acts confirmed include ska legends The Beat, folk punkers The Cropdusters, the entertaining buskers Hobo Jones & The Junkyard Dogs, and the up and coming Ska/hip-hop band Imperial Leisure.

There will be more great music on offer in the form of classic soul-punk-rock with Goldblade, humorous high powered punk rock from the The Highliners, the best rubbish punk tribute songs in the world by Fat Drunk & Stupid (doing special sets), and big fusion dance beats from Subgiant.

Helping to keep the party rockin' around the clock will also be Optic Nerves, Arno Carstens, Steranko, Cash Converted, and Guns of Navarone. The festival is organised by members of the band Pronghorn and it's no surprise then that the finest exponents of cow punk hoe downs will be making another scorching appearance. There are still heaps of acts to come yet, more than likely the festival's trademark mix of ska, dub, punk, dance, and more. Whoever they are they're bound to be quality festival acts.

The safe, family friendly old school festival has developed nicely from a one day event to a high quality three day festival with a great atmosphere for 5000 happy festival goers. Music is only part of the attraction, expect a wide range of theatre, a busy kids area, good food, nice ale, colourful stalls, tipi hire, loadsa loos, a family camping area, healing area, chill-out area, comedy and street entertainment to complement the line-up.

Plus, there's a late music licence ensuring the high standard of entertainment will carry on for as long as people are up for it. The organisers put on this festival without relying on corporate sponsorship, instead using local business to make the event profitable to the local community.

2008 ticket prices are a most reasonable cost of £75 for an adult weekend ticket, which includes camping. There's a family Weekend (2 Adults + 2 Kids) ticket available for £210.00. For kids aged 10-15 tickets will cost £40.00 and an under 10's ticket is priced at £10.00. Those turning up with live in vehicles are charged £20.00. Tickets go on sale on Saturday 1st March and eFestivals will have links for you to buy them.
