All Tomorrow's Parties has announced two new additions to the line up for the Explosions In The Sky curated May event.

The new acts, who join an eclectic line-up are New York hip hop legends De La Soul and fellow American rockers Battles.

De La Soul, rose to fame with their jazz-rap infused album '3 Feet High and Rising' which was for many, the album of the year in 1989 and included their signature tune 'Me Myself And I'.

De la Soul

Battles, could be considered a supergroup of musicians drawn from other rock acts. These include ex-Helmet drummer John Stanier, ex-Don Caballero guitarist Ian Williams, ex-Lynx guitarist Dave Konopka, and Tyondai Braxton (son of avant-garde jazz musician Anthony Braxton), who also plays guitar and keyboard. Their debut album 'Machines with Magnets', was released last year and singles 'Atlas' and 'Tonto' were well received by the music press. Battles will play two late night sets in Centre stage, just like Aphex Twin did at ATP last December.

As well as Explosions In The Sky, the line-up includes Broken Social Scene, Iron And Wine, Dinosaur Jr, Adem, ....And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, Polvo, Animal Collective, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Eluvium, Ola Podrida, Lazarus, The Paper Chase, Four Tet, Western Keys, Silver Jews, Jens Lekman, Mono, Tony Teardrop, The Drift, The National, Liars, Sunset Rubdown, Lichens, Stars Of The Lid, Battles, De La Soul, and Ghostface Killah.

The event which happens at Butlins Holiday Camp, Minehead, Somerset; takes place over three days from, Friday 16th May to Sunday 18th May. Check in begins on Friday and check out on Monday morning.
