Jethro Tull and Jah Wobble are amongst the first acts confirmed to play The Acoustic Festival of Britain.

The festival plans to return in 2008 over the May Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 24th to Monday 26th May after being cancelled due to bad weather last year and is at a new site, one less likely to suffer from waterlogging - Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, South Derbyshire.

The full list of acts confirmed today is Jethro Tull, Jah Wobble, Mike Peters (tbc), The Animals, Martin Furey Band, SKAcoustica, Eric Faulkner, and Gordon Giltrap. More acts will be confirmed over the coming months with and many of the acts booked to play last year's cancelled festival expected to be announced for this year.

A limited number of advance weekend tickets (3 days including camping) priced at £99 are now on sale here. Day tickets go on sale from Saturday 1st March.

Because of last year's cancellation, tickets from 2007 will be valid for 2008. Tickets will be replaced in line with your purchases from 2007, ie. weekend, day, weekend camping and children (all applicable regardless of ages).

As well as 3 stages of live music, the festival is expected to also include stalls, craft displays, juggling schools, a real ale tent, fair trade, children's area, camping, a tipi circle, and more.
