With just three weeks to go, Bestival has announced the addition of a new stage to the line-up.

It will be hosted by the BBC, and will feature mainly new acts and live DJ sets from the Radio 1 camp (Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, and Annie Mac).

1000 music-hungry fans will be able to cram into the venue, which will be known as the BBC Introducing... tent, the very same one that made an appearance at Glastonbury Festival earlier this summer.

The tent is located centrally to the site and has been designed as the 'prime destination for great new music', with performances scheduled from The Wombats, Architecture In Helsinki, Foals, Jack Penate, The Kissaway Trail, Friendly Fires, and many more.

Festival curator Rob da Bank said; “I'm really pleased the BBC Introducing... stage is coming to Bestival! It's a really great platform for up and coming acts and totally reflects mine and Bestival's love of new and underground music that might well pop up in the charts in a few months.”

Jason Carter, Editor Live Events Radio 1 and 1Xtra, who leads BBC Introducing... said; “We’re delighted to have BBC Introducing... host a new music stage at this year’s Bestival. It's fantastic for us to have a strong presence supporting new talent at one of the most exciting events in the U.K.”

The full list of acts to play the stage are as follows; Architecture In Helsinki, Bastila, CockNBull Kid, Duloks, Electrelane, Emma Glynn And The Monorails, Fighting Cocks, Figurines, Foals, Friendly Fires, iLiKETRAiNS, I Love Audrey, It Hugs Back, Jack Peñate, Jackson Analogue, Jape Mama Shamone, Mice Parade, Miss Odd Kid, Motion Pictures, Oppenheimer, Palladium, Peggy Sue And The Pirates, PlanningToRock, Robots In Disguise, Slow Club, Sportsday Megaphone, The Early Years, The Kissaway Trail, The Loungs, The Metros, The Priscillas, The Wombats, Thee Earls, We Are Performance, and XX Teens.

Bestival takes place at Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th September.

Previously confirmed acts include Chemical Brothers (Friday headliner) Beastie Boys (Saturday headliner), Gregory Isaacs, Levellers, The Orb, Gossip, Billy Bragg, The Maccabees, Soul II Soul Soundsytem LIVE!, The Cuban Brothers, Dub Pistols, Calvin Harris, Mr Hudson & The Library, Simian Mobile Disco, Bonde Do Role, Cagedbaby, and many more, plus loads of DJs.
