V gets a double whammy of Rodrigo Y Gabriela

but no more Bright Eyes

By Scott Johnson | Published:

Mexican guitar mavericks Roderigo Y Gabriela have a busy schedule ahead of them this weekend, when they will be performing a staggering four times at this year's V Festival, which takes place at the duel sites of Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire.

The band will replace Bright Eyes who were scheduled to headline the Virgin Mobile Union Stage, but have had to pull out due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.

This means Rodrigo Y Gabriela will start off by playing the opening slot on The V Stage at Weston Park, Stafford, before flying down to Chelmsford to headline the Virgin Mobile Union Stage, then staying overnight so they can open the V stage at Chelmsford on Sunday, before flying back to Stafford to headline the Virgin Mobile Union stage once more! After that they should have earned themselves a well deserved break.
