line-up for the eFestivals Cosmic Comedy Tent at Guilfest announced

GuilFest, which takes place at Stoke Park, Guildford, Surrey from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July has announced the line up for the eFestivals Cosmic Comedy Tent.

Friday's eclectic line-up includes topical comic Ian Stone (BBC2 Mock The Week, R4 The Late Edition), live-wire scary-funny Russell Kane ("a breathless, raging, feral act... Probably the most exciting comic discovery of the year" Chortle.co.uk), character comedian Simon Brodkin with his 'chav' alter ego ("The Funniest New Act I've Seen In Years", Harry Hill), and South American Jazz spoof act Mundo Jazz ("A sort of Latino Spinal Tap. Very, very, very funny", Daily Express).

Saturday features 'rock n roll' poet Paul B Edwards, Channel 4's Monkey Magician Pete Firman ("The bastard child of Jackass and Paul Daniels", Metro) and stage prowler Roger Monkhouse, with vigorous and vibrant mimic Junior Simpson topping the bill ("A vigorous raconteur and vibrant mimic with lots to say", The Guardian).

Sunday's compere is Danny James, back by poplular demand, visual comedy from Steve Best ("An unholy cross between Steve Martin, Lee Evans and Fozzie Bear" Sunday Times), stories around the world from Nick Wilty ("Wilty is cack funny, his routine is a fluffy kitten that bites like a lion" Beat, Melbourne), electric squash raquet playing from Pierre Hollins and freakish entertainment from The Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue.

Friday and Saturdays feature late comedy shows from 11pm with comics free to let loose with some more 'adult' material. Not suitable for under 18's.

The full comedy line-up is as follows. Performing on the Friday will be Russell Kane, Mike Tomb, Lee Nelson, Mundo Jazz, Barry Dodd, Keith Fields, Ian Stone, and Addy Van Der Bhorg.

Comedians confirmed for Saturday are John Mann, Stan Stanley, Pete Firman, Roger Monkhouse, Paul B. Edwards, Daniel Townes, Paul B. Edwards, and Junior Simpson.

Finally, the comedians performing on the closing day of the festival (Sunday) will be Danny James, Hal Cruttenden, Pierre Hollins, Nick Wilty, Steve Best, Geoff Norcott, and Ramond & Mr Timpkins Revue.

There's also children’s entertainment, street theatre, art and crafts, delicious food from around the world and a truly festive atmosphere. There will be a late licensed 150 foot beer tent and cocktail bar, an extensive KidZone and lots of clean toilets throughout the site and camping areas.

Tickets are on sale, priced at:-
Adults: £40 day, £90 weekend, £100 weekend with camping.
Children between 12–16 years old £30 day, £50 weekend, £60 weekend with camping. N.B. Children between 12 – 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Children aged under 12 have free entrance with ticket holding adult.
Camper vans tickets are £80 and can only be used in conjunction with an adult with camping ticket.
