new festival in Cambridgeshire

The new LodeStar festival, which will take place near Lode, in Cambridgeshire from Friday 31st August til Sunday 2nd September, has confirmed the first acts for the festival.

Confirmed are Badly Drawn Boy (Sunday), Idlewild, The Bees, The Rakes, Palladium, Terra Naomi (Friday), iLiKETRAiNS, Polytechnic, Alberta Cross, Luke Toms, The Hot Puppies, The Strange Death Of Liberal England, Hush The Many (Heed The Few), The Shadow Project. More acts will be announced over the coming weeks.

The line-up across three stages aims to include "some of the best breaking acts of 2007". LodeStar is labour of love for 51-year-old organiser Doug Durrant, who is realising a teenage ambition to stage a festival on the land his family has worked for four generations.

Tickets go on sale next Monday (21st May). Tickets are priced as follows:-
Friday to Monday Camping: Adult £85. 10-16 yrs £70. 0-10 yrs Free.
Day only Sat /Sun: Adult £55. 10-16 yrs £40. 0-10 yrs Free.
Note that under 16 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.
