eFestivals Radio launches today!

shows based around festival line-ups

By Neil Greenway | Published:

eFestivals today takes a step further into the digital world, with the launch of eFestivals Radio.

Each online radio show will be based around the line-up of a particular festival in a particular year, giving people the chance to familiarise themselves with some of the acts they might not know, and the chance to hear familiar favourites.

The first show - happening from 8pm to 10pm tonight - is based around Wychwood Festival 2007, featuring many of the acts appearing this year and including some exclusive tracks from Magic Skool Bus' forthcoming album 'Cafe Trauma'. Tune in, and check it out!

Other shows are scheduled, including ones based on Isle of Wight, Guilfest, Beautiful Days, The Glade, WOMAD, Endorse-It In Dorset, and Cornbury, with more shows still be be scheduled.

For the show schedules and information on how to tune in (which obviously only works when broadcasting), please see http://www.efestivals.co.uk/radio.

To alert people when eFestivals Radio is broadcasting a message will pop-up on every page on the website, so there's no excuse to ever miss a show!

During broadcasts, you'll often find the DJ hanging out in the chatroom, so feel free to join him or her and give your comments about what you're hearing. You can also post comments in the new eFestivals Radio forum.

Everyone's a DJ, right? We all love to introduce our favourite tunes to others. If you're interested in becoming one of the eFestivals DJs, post in the eFestivals Radio forum your ideas for a show and the sorts of acts you'll play, and when and how often you'll be available to DJ, and someone will be in touch. All a DJ needs at simplest is winamp, a winamp plug-in, a broadband connection, a heap of mp3s, and great music taste!
