Bestival, which takes place at Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight from Friday 7th to Sunday 9th September, has announced that the Sunday headliner is to be Primal Scream.

Also newly confirmed are live acts Xerox Teens, Planning To Rock aka Janine Rostron, Kid Carpet, 3 Daft Monkeys, Easy Star All Stars, and Kid Harpoon, plus DJs 2 Many DJs, Annie Nightingale, Tim Love Lee, Reverso 68 and more - click here for all the line-up details.

Bestival's mad festival idea for this year is a gigantic ukulele band that will be made up solely of festival-goers. Organised with Dulwich Ukulele Club, 'the Night of 100 Ukes' will take place on the final Sunday evening of the festival. If you would like to be part of the band then add yourself as a friend to myspace.com/nightof100ukes, where details of songs, lyrics and chords you need to learn will be posted there. Although rehearsals will primarily be held at the festival itself Bestival will be organising a get together for everyone who fancies taking part in August in a central London pub. You don't need any musical experience to join in the fun, just a ukulele and a little bit of enthusiasm. You can buy ukulele in most decent music shops and they don’t cost very much, there will also be a stand selling ukes at the festival.

Bestival features live acts Chemical Brothers (Friday headliner) Beastie Boys (Saturday headliner), Gregory Isaacs, Levellers, The Orb, Gossip, Billy Bragg, The Maccabees, Soul II Soul Soundsytem LIVE!, The Cuban Brothers, Dub Pistols, Calvin Harris, Mr Hudson & The Library, Simian Mobile Disco, Bonde Do Role, Cagedbaby, and many more, plus loads of DJs.
