Manic Street Preachers for Rock Ness

By Neil Greenway | Published:

The Manic Street Preachers are the latest act confirmed to play Rock Ness, now a two-day festival with camping, happening outside the village of Dores on the shores of Loch Ness on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th June.

The Manics will be headlining the Outdoor Stage on the Sunday evening, and they're up against Daft Punk who'll be playing in the tent. As a festival that's attracting a lot of danceheads - particular as last year was completely dance orientated - we suspect that the 10,000 capacity tent will be rammed, and the Manics the second choice of most who watch them.

Other confirmed acts are Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, The Automatic, Alabama 3, Soulwax Nite Versions, The Cuban Brothers, Erol Alkan, Dub Pistols, Caged Baby, The Whip, Drive by Argument, and Nathan Detroit, with more to be announced.

Tickets are on sale priced at £100 for both days with camping, £85 for both days, £45 for either day, and £15 for camping - click here to buy. Note that people wishing to camp on Saturday night must have a weekend ticket.

Last year's first Rock Ness - a one-day event - had acts including Fatboy Slim, Carl Cox, Mylo and more, and attracted 25,000 people.
