Arctic Monkeys to stage own festival

one-dayer in Manchester

By Neil Greenway | Published:

The Arctic Monkeys are to stage their own one-day festival for 50,000, at Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester on Saturday 28th July.

Having decided to do their own thing next year - which we guess means no other festivals for the Monkeys - they're planning to invite support from some of their favourite bands, who'll be announced in the near future.

The show will follow the late Spring release of their second album, and they'll play their longest set to date, incorporating tracks from their debut and their new album.

Tickets go on sale Friday 15th December at 12.30pm. We'll of course have links to buy at that time.
