£20 for adult camping, youth (aged 5-14) camping £10, under-5s free - SOLD OUT
Family friendly and laid back, this will be the seventh Blissfields, with it having grown into a two stage event for a 1000 festival goers looking for 'a small but perfectly formed' event. Ticket prices have yet to be finalised but weekend adult camping will be around the £20 - £25 mark. On sale sometime in February, the tickets will sell out quickly so keep reading eFestivals for further details.
The organisers have quality rather than quantity as their goal and are expecting to add non-musical acts, hopefully a play, child orientated workshops as well as the bands to B7's line up. Anticipate the usual mix of old favourites, local bands, and critically acclaimed breaking acts.
Having missed out playing this year due to a timing cock-up (whoops!), the one act certain to play next year are electronic dub wizards Subgiant. One of the festival scenes great success stories (having played at Earthwise, Endorse-It In Dorset, Bloom Festival and more in 2006), their storming early-afternoon Beautiful Days set got hundreds of hungover people up on their feet, with the albums they had with them for sale selling out in minutes when they'd finished (much to the surprise of the merchandise guy!).
Both Sungiant's albums - 'Advances In Twig Technology', and the latest 'Global Control' - are on the Blissfields Records label, and you can hear an 8 minute mp3 sample (described as "kind of like a movie trailer only for an album" ) from 'Global Control' by clicking here.
