The festival started as a one-dayer six years ago, has now grown into a 3-day festival with music and cabaret. 2006's line-up featured three Mercury prize nominees (Richard Hawley, Guillemots and Isobel Campbell) plus the likes of Belle and Sebastian, Elbow, Calexico, ¡Forward, Russia!, Brakes, Jose Gonzalez, James Morrison. The Young Knives, The Long Blondes, Morning Runner and many more.
Festival Directors Richard Haswell and Rob Challice said "We've come a long way in six years and we intend to keep developing Summer Sundae Weekender to give bands and audiences even more of what they want. Members of the public and critics alike have praised the laid back, friendly atmosphere that we have managed to create with an eclectic programme of artists."
Tickets are available to buy right now, at the bargain early-bird price of £75 for an adult 3-day ticket (£80 including one tent space), with an under-16's weekend ticket costing just £20 (children under-5 are free, but must still have a ticket).
