Indian Summer unveils third stage

and some new bands too...

By Scott Johnson | Published:

Indian Summer, held at Glasgow's Victoria Park on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September has unveiled a third stage to join the Main Stage and The Fat Tuesday Tent.

The stage will be known as the ABC tent, sponsored by the ABC Venue on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street.

The festival organisers commented "We had so many other bands we wanted to book for the first ever Indian Summer, but just not enough slots. So, teaming up with our friends at the ABC seemed like the perfect chance to bring this showcase of the best breaking bands to Indian Summer."

Acts confirmed to perform on this stage on Saturday 2nd September are Brakes, and The Pigeon Detectives with the headliner to be announced very shortly. There will also be a spoken word set from Aidan Moffat on the same day.

Headlining on Sunday 3rd September will be My Latest Novel, who are joined by Cansei de Ser Sexy, Danananaykroyd and Unkle Bob. Sunday will also hold a spoken word set from DJ Bill Brewster. Expect some more announcements to be made shortly...

Tickets are available from ticketweb, or in person at Tickets Scotland (Glasgow or Edinburgh).

Tickets cost £35 per day or £60 for the weekend, plus standard booking fee. Please note that there is no camping at this event.

Acts already confirmed include the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Antony and the Johnsons, Guillemots, Broken Social Scene, Hot Chip, 1990’s, and Gang of Four. For the full line-up including day splits click here.
