By Neil Greenway | Published:

The Electric Picnic, which takes place at Stradbally Hall Estate, Co Laois, Eire (less than an hour from Dublin) on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd September has announced that all 30,000 tickets for the event have been sold.

The last two tickets were snapped up today at 1.15pm. Promoter of Electric Picnic, John Reynolds of Pod Concerts commented "To sell out two months before the festival is an indication of the ever increasing popularity of the Picnic. We will not be releasing any more tickets, so unfortunately if you haven’t already bought your tickets, there’s always next year".

Electric Picnic has music from Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Antony and the Johnsons, DJ Shadow, PJ Harvey, Damien Rice, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Frames, Devendra Banhart, Super Furry Animals, Belle & Sebastian, Rufus Wainwright (solo), Bloc Party, Alabama 3, The Rapture, Mad Professor, Tom Vek, Gang of Four, The Boy Least Likely To, Jim Noir, Elbow, Graham Coxon, Deus, and many more - click here for all the details to date.

Along with the music there's alternative therapies & workshops, burlesque theatre and cabaret from Lost Vagueness, comedy, face-to-face interviews with some of the acts performing over the weekend, a silent disco, and a cinema.
