Sparks for Electric Picnic

The Electric Picnic, which takes place at Stradbally Hall Estate, Co Laois, Eire (less than an hour from Dublin) on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd September has announced more acts to play across the weekend.

Playing their first ever set in Ireland are Sparks, and also new are Laurent Garnier, Michael Franti and Spearhead, The Rapture, Coldcut (live), Radiosoulwax- niteversions, Metro Arena, Tiefschwarz, Hot Chip, and Andrew Weatherall.

They join acts such as Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Antony and the Johnsons, DJ Shadow, Damien Rice, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Frames, Devendra Banhart, Super Furry Animals, Belle & Sebastian, Rufus Wainwright (solo), Bloc Party, Alabama 3, The Rapture, Mad Professor, Tom Vek, Gang of Four, The Boy Least Likely To, Jim Noir, Elbow, Graham Coxon, Deus, and many more - click here for all the details to date.

Along with the music there's alternative therapies & workshops, burlesque theatre and cabaret from Lost Vagueness, comedy, face-to-face interviews with some of the acts performing over the weekend, a silent disco, and a cinema.
