a new festival for Suffolk: Latitude

By Neil Greenway | Published:

Mean Fiddler - the company behind the Reading & Leeds festivals - are to launch a new festival this summer, called Latitude.

Happening in the grounds of the historic Henham Park Estate in Suffolk - near the most easterly English coastline between Southwold and Aldeburgh - the new festival is the vision of Mean Fiddler boss, Melvin Benn.

Described as "inspired more by European festivals such as Lowlands, than anything currently on offer in the UK" it will have "Music, Art, Comedy, Film, Literature, Theatre, Performance Art, Dance, Sculpture, Workshops, Restaurants and Waiter Service Bars" - it all sounds very posh for a festival.

It will take place across the weekend of Friday 14th – Sunday 16th July 2006.

No further details are available as yet - we'll of course have them when they are.
