Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack, New Order & more for Electric Picnic

Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, DJ Shadow, Yeah Yeah Yeahs....

The Electric Picnic is back for its third year on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd September, with camping all three nights in the setting of Stradbally Hall Estate, Co Laois, Eire - less than an hour from Dublin.

After last year's 25,000 tickets sold out, the festival capacity has been increased 5,000, but the organisers are promising to keep the intimate nature of the festival.

The line-up for this year is the expected eclectic mix across seven stages, with a line-up of: Basement Jaxx, Massive Attack, New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Antony and the Johnsons, DJ Shadow, Damien Rice, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Frames, Devendra Banhart, Super Furry Animals, Belle & Sebastian, Rufus Wainwright (solo), Bloc Party, Alabama 3, The Rapture, Mad Professor, Saul Williams, Tom Vek, Gang of Four, David Kitt, The Boy Least Likely To, Jim Noir, Rachid Taha, Elbow, Graham Coxon, Deus, The Rags, The Dublin Gospel Choir, Blue Nile, and all topped off with that friend of all things Electric – Gary Numan. There's of course still more to be announced.

Along with the music there's alternative therapies & workshops, burlesque theatre and cabaret from Lost Vagueness, comedy, face-to-face interviews with some of the acts performing over the weekend, a silent disco, and a cinema.

Tickets for the three days are priced at 175 euros including camping, and go on sale at 9am tomorrow (Friday 24th March). Don't hang about!
