Tool confirmed for Download

plus Cradle Of Filth, Aiden, Stone Sour, and more

Download Festival - which takes place from Friday 9th until Sunday 11th June 2006, at Donington Park, Leicestershire - has confirmed Tool as the Friday headliner, plus confirmed more acts to play across the weekend.

The other new bands are Cradle Of Filth, Aiden, Stone Sour, 36 Crazyfists, Soul Fly, Arch Enemy, Eighteen Vision, Bloodsimple, Soilwork, and To My Surprise.

They join the acts already announced, which are Metallica, Guns N' Roses, The Prodigy, Korn, Deftones, Trivium, Clutch, Bullet For My Valentine, Lacuna Coil, InMe, Within Temptation and Hatebreed. More acts will be confirmed over the coming weeks and months, to a full line-up of around 100 metal and rock bands over the three days. For details to date, click here.
