Kasabian say they are headlining the second stage of this year's V Festival.

Tom Meighan told Teletext's Planet Sound, "We're headlining V Festival, up against Radiohead. I like Radiohead, but I'm well up for taking them on. Every band in Britain is going to be in trouble when we release our next album, it's huge." Meighan said the new album is out in July.

The twin-sited V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex and Weston Park, Staffordshire, from Saturday 19th - Sunday 20th August 06. The first acts are expected to be announced in the coming week, with tickets going on sale at 9am next Friday 3rd March.
