Green Man Festival announces first acts

The Green Man Festival - put together by duo it's jo and danny, and which takes place in the Brecon Beacons in Wales from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th August - has announced loads of acts for this year.

The music - presented on three stages - will include acts such as Bert Jansch, King Creosote, James Yorkston, Little Wings, Gruff Rhys, The Television Personalities, Alasdair Roberts, Tunng, Adem, it's jo and danny (of course!), Wizz Jones, Eighteenth Day of May, Chris TT, and many more. As well as the live acts, they'll also be a DJ tent, improved film, literature and science workshops, stalls and children's entertainment, with DJs playing into the night. The site and bars will both be open from Thursday 17th August at 6.00pm and there will be a new 1.00am licence on Friday and Saturday nights.

This year will also see the addition of a whole new range of vegetarian and meat stalls, from Paella and Organic hamburgers, through to fresh vegetables, salads and Mexican dishes. There will also be new areas added, whilst retaining the unique and intimate Country Fayre atmosphere of the Festival.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, and cost £98 for an adult weekend tickets (including on-site camping and parking), and entry is free for Under 12s. There will be an additional cost for those wishing to bring a live-in vehicle.
