More acts have been confirmed for WOMAD, which takes place at Rivermead, Reading, from Friday 29th until Sunday 31st July.

Nitin Sawhney will be performing a DJ set in the 2,500 capacity 'Club WOMAD' on the Sunday night, plus the following acts are also newly confirmed: Eddie Martin Trio (UK); Farida & Iraqi Maqam Ensemble (Iraq); Ilham Al Madfai (Iraq); Jorane (Canada); Lior (Australia); Neguinho da Beija-Flor (Brazil); Terem Quartet (Russia); The Idan Raichel's Project (Israel); Sergent Garcia (France) and Qool DJ Marv (USA)

They join a line-up of over 70 artists from 37 countries, which includes Richie Havens, Youssou N'Dour et le Super Etoile de Dakar, Apache Indian & the Reggae Revolution, and many more, with more still to be added in the weeks to come. See here for the full list of the acts so far confirmed, including day splits.

Tickets are on sale, and are selling at record levels. They always sell out, which is the sign of a great festival! There's the standard weekend ticket at £99.99, day tickets at £35 (Friday), £55 (Saturday), and £45 (Sunday), as well as 'Early Entry Thursday' tickets at £10 (available to weekend ticket holders only). All weekend tickets include free camping, and two children aged 13 and under can come free with each adult ticket buyer. Click here to buy online, or by telephoning the ticketline on 0118 939 0930.

As well as the music, WOMAD also offers hundreds of participatory workshops for adults and children, late night grooves at 'Club WOMAD', the cabaret tent, a kids' procession, a small traditional funfair, and probably the best festival markets anywhere, for over 26,000 attendees.
