fourth stage for V Festival announced

a new name, but an old name...

By Neil Greenway | Published:

The line-up for the fourth stage a V Festival has been announced.

This year it's called the Volvic Stage, and the acts confirmed so far are: Super Furry Animals, 22:20’s, Roisin Murphy, Leaves, Stephen Fretwell, Ray Lamontage, Josh Rouse, Kubb, Morning Runner, and Diefenbach. They'll be more announced in the coming weeks.

Roisin Murphy

V Festival Director, Bob Angus amusingly comments: "We are over the moon to have the fourth stage back as the ‘Volvic Stage’. It’s great to be able to give festival goers a chance to see brand new acts that we would hope to see gracing the main stage in future years." And so either Bob he didn't both seeing what acts were playing before reeling off the quote, or he's had his head in the sand the last ten(ish) years. SFA a "new band"????

There's also the Strongbow Rooms announced, and at Chelmsford they have Bez, Andy Smith, Rob Da Bank, Yousef, Cameo, Phones (Paul Epworth) on the Saturday, and Krafty Kuts, Leeroy, Evil 9, The Glimmer, Sam Hardaker (Zero 7), and Kris Bones on the Sunday, and at Staffordshire there's Lottie, Justin Robertson, Bent, Kris Bones, and Plump DJs on the saturday, and DJ Yoda, Skitz and MCD, Kid Carpet (live), Barry Ashworth, Howie B, and Rob Da Bank on the Sunday.

And if you're not all danced out yet, there's also the B Bar. At Chelmsford they have Mr Scruff, Joey Negro, The Loose Cannons, Marc Hughes + Basil BlackIIBasic on percussion all of Saturday, and FAITH SPECIAL, Terry Farley, Bill Brewster, Stuart Patterson, Dave Jarvis, Leo Elstob + Basil BlackIIBasic on percussion all Sunday. At Staffordshire there's Sandy Riviera, Unabombers (live), Norman Jay, Benji B + Shovell on percussion all Saturday, and Joey Negro, Hed Kandi (featuring Laura on sax), Slammin Boys, Reeza + Shovell on percussion all Sunday.

They join acts including headliners Oasis, Scissor Sisters & Franz Ferdinarnd, and many more, with more still to be confirmed.
