Desmond Decker & Zion Train for Endorse-It In-Dorset

By Neil Greenway | Published:

Endorse-It In-Dorset - happening near Shaftesbury in Dorset from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th August - has announced that Desmond Dekker and the Aces are to headline the Saturday, and Zion Train to headline on the Sunday.

After careful consideration, the organisers decided to change the headliners. The Beat and Neville Staple are now playing a lot of festivals this year and they felt they wanted something with a different flavour, to give a really great and different festival.

From a Ska perspective, you can't beat Desmond Dekker - he is The Godfather of Ska. He's coming to play, complete with The Aces, to headline on the main stage on Saturday. Everyone knows at least one Desmond Dekker tune.

Zion Train have been described as the ultimate festival band and are booked for Sunday - heavy dub, complete with horn section and live mixing. Their set is crafted to build at a level that has the whole crowd in their palms by the climax of the gig. Anyone who caught the Lost Vagueness gig at Glastonbury 2003 will now what this means. Expect to see some guest appearances.

Other acts are also newly confirmed, including The Ukrainians, Tragic Roundabout, Equidistant Sound, and The Cracked Actors, joining Pronghorn, The Highliners, and more. Click here to see the list of confirmed acts so far.

The festival includes comedy and music on two stages, a children's arena (with workshops, arts & crafts, entertainers), on-site camping, the bar selling Badger Real Ales and more, side stalls, and extra fields at the same beautiful site.

Tickets are on sale, priced at £35 for the weekend (including camping), or £20 for any day. Under-10s are free. Click here to buy.

More information will be here when available, or see the Endorse It website.
