American Headcharge for Download

By Neil Greenway | Published:

American Headcharge are the latest act confirmed for Download Festival, which takes place on 10th, 11th & 12th June, at Donington Park, Leicestershire.

They'll be playing in honour of guitarist Bryan Ottoson, who was found dead in his tour bus bunk on Tuesday 19 April from a suspected prescription drug overdose.

The band made the following statement: "Bryan was a vital member of our group and a key songwriter on The Feeding. It is our intention to honor his memory by re-joining Mudvayne, one of Bryan's favorite bands, on the current tour. Words cannot convey the depth of our sadness, but we want our fans to be able to hear the music Bryan loved so much. He'd be pissed if we didn't continue on."

American Headcharge join bands previously announced, including the likes of Feeder, Garbage, Megadeth, JJ72, Black Sabbath, Velvet Revolver, Anthrax, System of a Down, Slipknot, Billy Idol, Nightwish, and many more. Click here for the full day and stage listings so far.
