the inaugural eFestivals Pre-Festivals Party

an intimate night of fun

By Neil Greenway | Published:

eFestivals would like to invite you to our first ever event - a Pre-Festivals Party - with three fantastic live bands and more!

In keeping with our high standards, the three superb bands we’ve selected for your entertainment all played at Glastonbury Festival and on other festival stages last year.

There is a strictly limited number of tickets available, and the event is expected to sell out. So, get your tickets early!

Please note that ticket buyers will be emailed back with a link, which will give venue details and directions.

So who are these bands? Well here’s a little bit more about the evening’s entertainment:

The Loose Cannons Soundsystem in association with Coda
We’re bringing the London funk fiends to Bristol in their soundsystem (but very much LIVE) form, to dish up their own unique funky fresh sound. Kaiser Saucy and Lord Fader will guide you to their world of love, lust, grime, hedonism and exultation.

Imagine if you will, the world of Outkast, had they spent their childhood in South London during the Thatcher years, and you’re pointing in the right direction. Or imagine how Scissor Sisters would sound had they grown up listening to Bootsy and NWA, whilst chasing girls around instead of listening to all those early Elton/Joel records.

The Loose Cannons played Homelands, Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds as well as other festivals last summer. Their album ‘Make The Face’ is one of the most played releases of last year on the eFestivals stereo.

Pronghorn
A foot-stomping blend of hillbilly, cajun, cowpunk, Jewish, Irish and Ukrainian classics, the crazy Pronghorn use everything from a squeezebox to a twin tub washing machine to generate an infectious hoe-down!

They grab folk music by the balls, rip its beard off and ram scrumpy snake-bite down its throat - the result is music that you HAVE to dance to, like it or not. Add to this the rapport they have with the audience and you will be able to see the reason they are an excellent festival band.

Their success at festivals from Glastonbury to Larmer Tree led to them organising their own festival - Endorse It In Dorset – with great success last year. Keep your eye on eFestivals for details of this year’s event.

Subgiant
Think 808 State, the KLF and The Orb getting together for a jamming session. With a bit of new age, crazy drums, bleeps, breakbeats, a flow of reggae and lots more thrown into the mix you’re in for a real treat!

With their ambient dub, a sub-bass to test your speakers and driving breakbeats with catchy melodies you’ll think you’re at an all night unofficial acid-house party of pre-Dance Tent Glastonbury.

As well as these fantastic bands they’ll also be DJs playing quality tunes - everything from the Pixies to Nina Simone. It'll be a night to remember!
