Oasis has been confirmed as the other headliner for V Festival, which takes place over the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August, and held at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and at Weston Park, Staffordshire.

Oasis will play at Chelmsford on the Saturday, and at Weston Park on the Sunday, with the previously announced joint headliners of Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters on the other night.

Other bands confirmed today are: Athlete, Ian Brown, Kaiser Chiefs, Maroon 5, Embrace, Joss Stone, Robert Plant, The Bravery, Texas, Jet, The Zutons, Doves, Thirteen Senses, The Music, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Dizzee Rascal, 22-20's, and Goldfrapp.

The only other acts previously confirmed are the Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy - click for the confirmed line-ups for Chelmsford or Staffordshire. More acts will be announced over the coming weeks - they'll be over 80 bands playing.

Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 11th March. Tickets cost £90 for the weekend, and £110 with camping. Day tickets are £52.50.
