Wychwood Festival - the new world and roots festival, happening at Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucestershire from 3rd to 5th June 2005 - has confirmed progressive country rocker Steve Earle as the Saturday night headliner.

Other recent additions include Allison Moorer on the Saturday, and Damien Dempsey on the Sunday.

They join a line-up that includes Alabama 3 as Sunday headliner, and others such as Mory Kante, Show of Hands, Eliza Cathy The Angel Brothers, Baka Beyond, and more. For the full list (including days), see here.

The official website has just launched its new forums, so why not logon and be the second person to post on it!

The festival aims to have over 40 bands and DJs across three stages, from world music, folk music, and the rock world. They'll also be cinema (from Groovie Movie), workshops, poetry, and more. The festival will also raise money for Oxfam.
