We hope that these events find something as a replacement - as yet, they've both been unable to confirm if they will replace it - as no one could say it's not a popular feature (even in the rain!) at these events.
Despite dropping these events as both a venue for the Outdoor Stage and for on-air coverage, Radio 1's level of commitment to dance events will probably exceed that of recent years. They'll still be covering the Miami Winter Music Conference, Sonar, and Pete Tong in Ibiza (Summer Fridays 6-9pm), and adding Global Gathering, an Island tour (Ibiza Closing Parties, Majorca, Greek islands), Skolbeats, as well as others still to be confirmed.
