Our thoughts are obviously with his wife and family at this sad time.
John was without doubt the greatest influence in modern music in Britian for over thirty years. His enthusiasm for music of all kinds, and his appetite for finding new sounds was undiminished over that time.
Not only will he be missed, he's irreplaceable.
