tickets flying for V

...and also a flying Pink?

By Neil Greenway | Published:

Tickets are selling for V faster than previous years. The line-up including The Strokes, Dido, Muse, Pixies, Snow Patrol, Keane, Massive Attack, Kings of Leon, Primal Scream, N*E*R*D, Athlete, and Jamie Cullum is getting more people to open their wallets more quickly than it has before.

Meanwhile, it seems that Pink has already been pulled from the line-up - her name is missing from the bands in the latest press release. She was announced with the other bands last week, but it was noticed that her name disappeared from the V website over the weekend. Numerous efforts have been made trying to have this withdrawal confirmed.

The V press office don't seem to want to give an answer to this question despite the question being put to them many times over 30+ hours. We've also tried contacting her various "people", and the only success we've had is a comment saying "Didn't even know she was doing it in the first place!".

For the line-up listing by stage, click on the link for Hylands Park or Weston Park.

V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of 21st/22nd August 2004, with the line-up swapping sites on the different days.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday 20th March at 9am. Prices are: weekend with camping £98.50; Weekend no camping £82.50; Saturday or Sunday day tickets £46.50.
