Morrissey's festival plans

Meltdown, and more

By Neil Greenway | Published:

Morrissey has given away some of his plans for Meltdown, of which he is Artistic Director this year. Meltdown is held from 11th - 27th June at the South Bank Centre, London.

In a brief exclusive interview with Teletext's PS:News, he told them he'd be playing three nights at the Royal Festival Hall, and that Franz Ferdinand and the Libertines would be appearing.

He said he's also persuaded the remaining members of the New York Dolls to appear. Two of the members died in 1991.

He revealed that his other festival plans this summer include Glastonbury, as well as the Reading and Leeds festivals.
