The first bunch of bands for this year's V festival have now been confirmed.

Alongside The Strokes - who were announced last week - there's Dido making her first festival appearance, Muse, The Pixies, Pink, Snow Patrol, Keane, Massive Attack, Kings of Leon, Primal Scream, N*E*R*D, Athlete, and Jamie Cullum.

V Festival takes place at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffordshire over the weekend of 21st/22nd August 2004, with the line-up swapping sites on the different days.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday 20th March at 9am. Prices are: weekend with camping £98.50; Weekend no camping £82.50; Saturday or Sunday day tickets £46.50.
