FREE but camping costs extra

The Willow Festival - a long running free festival in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, held in July - has posted a message on it's website saying it is no longer running. It says

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, The Willow Festival will not be run in the future.

We understand that the festival was supported with it's costs by the local council, and so we presume that it's demise is due to that financial support being withdrawn.

This is a real shame, as the number of free festivals continues to decline.
