Metallica ARE at Download!!!

We've just had a message through from one our crew at Download Festival that Metallica ARE playing there this afternoon, despite the official denial issued by the organisers on Thursday afternoon.

We've no more details of what's happening than that - we presume from the rumours that were circulating on Thursday (see our news report) that they're about to hit the stage right now. We'll of course have full details, with a review (and hopefully pictures) tomorrow, as well as other reviews and photos.

As our Friday rumour report said, we didn't believe it was true ... so we're now off to eat our hat - does anyone have any ketchup?
