Staind, Cave In, The Thrills, Concrete Jungle and more

Loads of new acts have been added to the line-ups for the Reading and Leeds Festivals - which take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend of Friday 22nd August until Sunday 24 August - across three stages.

The additions to the Main Stage are: Staind (Reading - Friday; Leeds - Saturday), The Darkness, Cave In (both: Reading - Saturday; Leeds - Sunday).

New for the Radio 1 Tent are: The Thrills, The Kills, Jet (all: Reading - Saturday; Leeds - Sunday), Hell is for Heroes, The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Radio 4, The Raveonettes (all: Reading - Sunday; Leeds - Friday).

Confirmed for the Concrete Jungle Stage (at Reading on Saturday, and Leeds on Sunday) are: Pennywise, Lagwagon, The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, Mad Caddies, Turbonegro, Thrice, King Prawn and Funeral For A Friend.

Both the Reading and Leeds Festivals have a line-up that includes Linkin Park, Blur, Metallica, Blink 182, Placebo, The White Stripes, Beck, Doves, System of a Down, Sum 41, Primal Scream, and loads more already announced, with even more still to be announced. Reading Festival takes place Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire. Leeds Festival may take place at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire, or at a nearby alternative location. Council meetings - which are currently taking place - to decide on a public entertainments licence for either/both or neither sites in Leeds should conclude tomorrow, when all should become clearer.

Tickets are priced at £95 for the weekend (including camping) and £40 for any day. Weekend tickets for Reading are already sold out.
