The line-ups for the Meltdown Festival - held at the Royal Festival and Queen Elizabeth Halls in London most nights from the 8th until 30th June - have been announced.

Curated this year by Lee 'Scratch' Perry, he gets to present some of his favourite artists, and gets in on the act as well himself.

There's a mixture of all sorts, from the likes of Alpha Blondy (8th), Public Enemy (10th), Tortoise (11th), Sly & Robbie and Michael Rose (13th), Tricky (16th), Michael Franti and Spearhead (20th), Fun Lovin' Criminals (23rd), David Holme's Free Association (26th), Macy Gray (27th), Asian Dub Foundation and Ozomatli (both 30th).

There's also lovers rock from Susan Cadogan, Aisha and Sister Audrey (24th), and poetry from Mutabaruka (15th) and Linton Kwesi Johnson (21st).

On 14th June, Perry performs his own songs, as well as those of Bob Marley And The Wailers, with Sly & Robbie and Michael Rose with guest vocalists Skin, Neville Staples and Rankin Roger and others.

Perry also appears with Mad Professor as guest mixers on Tortoise's date, and on the days with Tricky and Macy Gray.
