WAR! - what IS it good for?

absolutely nothing? No, it's worse than that!

By Neil Greenway | Published:

No - this is NOT an anti-war piece (but perhaps it should be!)

So it's all kicked off. The planes and bombs are starting to fly ... but when the festival season is in full swing, will the bands?

Already this year, some "stars" (I use the term very loosely - I'm thinking Kelly Osbourne) have refused to get on a plane and fly the pond due to their fears, and that was a month or more back.

Now our government is issuing warnings that the risk to UK subjects (stand to attention while the national anthem plays, bow or curtsy, and tug your forelock towards our German Queen) overseas from terrorism is very high, and it is likely to stop some bands from signing those important festival appearance contracts, or will scare them from making the trip at the time.

So expect a summer of disruption!

What's that?
You're annoyed, you're against this war, but you never made any protest, or made your views known to your MP? You know who to blame - apathy changes nothing, but your extra voice could have made the difference.
