V2002 have announced today that the Manic Street Preachers are to headline the NME stage on August 17th at Chelmsford and August 18th at Weston Park. The Manics have decided to use this opportunity as a warm up for their greatest hits tour which kicks off in December.

Following the cancellation of Travis, the Chemical Bros have been moved to the V stage leaving the headline slot free for the Manics.

Weekend camping tickets for Chelmsford have now sold out.
