Leeds Festival denied licence

will the show go on?

By eFestivals Newsroom | Published:

A huge blow has been dealt to Mean Fiddler - Leeds festival organisers. Leeds City Council have denied the organisers a public entertainment licence because not enough improvements have been made to the site.

The Regulatory Panel made their decision after hearing views from Mean Fiddler, local residents and councillors.

The councils' concern is the venue at Temple Newsham, stating that the prestigious park next to a listed building is an unsuitable location.

Mean Fiddler have 21 days to appeal to local magistrates.
