Essential goes West

As exclusively revealed by eFestivals in December, Essential Festival is to hold two events this year, at Bristol in May, and in London sometime in August.

Details of the Bristol event - to be held at Ashton Court, Bristol on 4/5/6 May (a bank holiday weekend) have been announced today.

Saturday 4th May - the Dance Day - see's a great mix of DJ's and live acts including System 7, Roni Size, Afro Celt Sound System, Stanton Warriors, the obligatory Judge Jules, and loads more.

Sunday 5th May is the return of the Indie Rock Day, with Supergrass, Beta Band, ADF and Hundred Reasons, plus loads more.

Monday 6th May slows it down with the Roots Day. This has James Brown, Herbaliser, Biz Markie, Courtney Pine, Mad Professor, Zion Train, Adrian Sherwood Soundsystem and loads more.

Tickets for each day will cost £35, and are available only in Bristol for the first two weeks. online sales will start after that time.
