Idlewild confirm themselves for V2001

In an update to the Idlewild official website, they say that they're to play the V Stage at V2001, appearing at Weston Park, Staffs on the Saturday (18th August) and at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on the Sunday. They also confirm their headline slot for the Budweiser True Stage at Glasgow's Gig on the Green, and state that they are not playing Reading or Leeds.

Other acts confirmed for the same stage and day as Idlewild are Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Gray, Foo Fighters, Neil Finn, Placebo and Powderfinger. Other bands appearing over the weekend include Coldplay, Texas, Embrace, Faithless, Nelly Furtado, The Charlatans, Muse, JJ72, Shed Seven, Wheatus, Divine Comedy, Doves, Starsailor, Toploader, Turin Brakes, Webb Brothers, Kylie Minogue, The Avalanches, Alfie, Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, Groove Armada, Hooverphonic, Nina Pearson, Phoenix, Relish, Snow Patrol, Spooks, Ben Folds and The Bush the Tree & Me. Some quality there, whatever your musical tastes!

Tickets are known to be selling fast (MUCH faster than last year, and seemingly faster than other festivals). They're priced at £38.50 for day tickets, £66 for both days, and £76 inclusive of camping.
