Essential moves to London

Essential Festival - normally held at Brighton's Stanmer Park - has confirmed that it has moved itself to London's Hackney Marshes due to uncertainty about the availability of its normal site due to the foot and mouth crisis. This move has been rumoured for some time.

This years event - which hoped to see the return of the Rock Day as well as camping (now abandoned because of the move) - will again feature the best in dance and roots. Some rumours on who might play are available in the line-ups section. The official line-ups are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday 20th April, priced at £35 for each day.
