Wychwood review

By Scott Williams | Published:

What a find, this Californian singer is, ok so when he speaks his accent and mumbling style makes it hard to understand him, but that’s not the case when he plays, I don’t get to see much of his set as we’re headed for the next band but I’d definitely like to see a full set. The guy has an innate sense for rhythm and melody that permeates his songs, a little reminiscent of Paolo Nutini, and the style is laconic and perfect for wandering around the arena in the morning putting a swing in your step, heads are bobbing and the sunny day seems a bit brighter for it. Hope they can get him back in a later so more people can enjoy him, he was on a little too early for much of an audience to gather. But the early bird always catches the best acts.
