Saturday followed the same procedure, bus, wakeboarding competition, bus, arena small crowds till 7 pm then bedlam, some real treats were yet again missed by the masses, (though this helped our enjoyment by having a more intimate feel to the gigs) with a mid-bill trio of great fast rising music talent with Little Comets, Fenech-Soler, and the awesome The Joy Formidable all playing very impressive sets.

The Joy Formidable
The Joy Formidable's leading lady oozing angst and sex appeal reminiscent of a fiery young Debbie Harry with a steely glare. Outside again on the tiny south stage current dubstep master Nero drew a huge crowd in with his mesmeric thundering basslines and breaks, almost destroying the field with a one hour set causing mayhem, scenes more like a rock crowd than a DJ set by a dance music producer followed, with the young crowd throwing themselves into it with every ounce of energy they had.

Beardyman
At the same time inside, Beardyman took to the stage, a great set but he came off second best on the crowd stakes, he was followed up by the billed headliners for the night The Wombats, playing through a batch of recent singles and new tracks interspersed with crowd favourites from their debut album, ending with a rapturous version of 'Let's Dance To Joy Division' sending the crowd on their way with huge smiles.

On the East stage the night is rounded off with the American big hitter Kelis , who really upped the ante and brought hit after hit to her set list including 'Milkshake', 'Accapella', 'The Good Stuff', 'Won't Trick Me' and Calvin Harris' current summer floor filler4 'Bounce' for which she supplied the lyrics and the latter brought the house down, she was soon forgiven for taking to the stage 20 minutes late by the screaming masses.
