The news for this event is combined with the Chelmsford event - click here.

They've changed the name - it's now V Festival!

Coldplay and the Red Hot Chil Peppers have been confirmed as the headliners, and a load more acts have now been confirmed. For the latest confirmed line-ups and rumours, click here.

Tickets were priced at £42.50 for either day, or £75 for both days (with NO camping, £90 for both days WITH camping but are now sold out. Campervans cost £30.

NOTE: Campervans - Customers purchasing a camper van pass must already have a weekend and camping ticket. There is a maximum of 4 people allowed into each camper van, all of whom need to have a weekend and camping ticket. Tickets have sold out, tho Campervan tickets are still available - click the BUY link to the left of the page for information.

Children 5 and under come free of charge with a full paying adult, over that age they are full price.

As well as the V Stage, there's the 2nd Stage, the JJB/Puma Arena, The Strongbow Dance Arena, The Strongbow Rooms and The BBar.

The site is open (for weekend campers) from 10am Friday until midday Monday.

WARNING: the local police force have recently taken delivery of a palm-wiping kit for drug testing (we believe that it detects cocaine and heroin, and perhaps other substances too). We're unsure as to whether it detects from bodily excretions (sweat) or from residue from handling such substances. It's been reported that they intend to test people as they queue to enter. Although anyone asked to take the test is legally allowed to refuse, they make take that as suspicion enough to subject you to a search. The police have been VERY active in previous years, arresting hundreds of people for just possession of cannabis.

Why not check out what's being said on the forums?
