SUMMER SUNDAE WEEKENDER INFORMATION

Stages

By Scott Williams | Published: Fri 14th Oct 2011

There are six stages.

The Outside Stage is the main stage, and plays host to local acts, rising stars, and then the bigger international acts. There is plenty of space in front of the stage which is in a natural amphitheatre, and there are bars, and catering outlets around the edge.

The Indoor stage is in the De Montfort Hall and offers a more dance orientated line-up and some impressive visuals and sound, upstairs there is circle seating, and the Victoria Suite bars.

The tented Musician Stage plays host to acoustic and roots music when the Outside Stage is quiet.

The Rising Stage hosts local and upcoming bands, often giving audiences the first chance to see acts who will appear on bigger stages in the future. It also has a small sponsored bar, and is the furthest stage from the Outside Stage.

The Phrased & Confused tent offers spoken word performances from poets and rising musicians during the day and films the evening.

Finally the eFestivals Comedy Stage puts on the best cabaret on the circuit, and is quite often packed so it's often worth getting there early for a decent bit of floor space.

The arena opens at 10am to 12.30am each day (except Sunday; 10am to 12am midnight ). Once the arena closes, the Village area which has a few smaller (unlisted) stages near the campsite stays open later and there is also a late night silent disco running from 9pm until 1am.
