Reading Festival 2009 review with video

Reading Festival 2009 - Enter Shikari (main stage)

Enter Shikari hit the main stage a few hours after their surprise acoustic set on the BBC Introducing Stage. There they played three re-worked gentle numbers; this set is a crunching hard-edged stampeding, mosh fuelled, dust cloud generating onslaught.

At last Reading sees some rock and its deliverers have come of age. They even get the sweaty crowd to do some old-school skanking. 'Labyrinth', 'No Sleep Tonight', 'Mothership', and 'Juggernaut' are amongst the hard-hitting sing-a-long numbers.

This is the festival they used to come to as kids, and they say its "surreal" to be back in front of such a huge crowd - and on this performance they'll be back again, and soon.

They even try to break the record for the most crowd srfers over the barrier, they might just have achieved it. Monu-mental!
