Reading Festival reviews

This lot sound bleedin’ marvellous as I cross through the crowd from the Radio 1 tent. They sound like Brian Eno doing grunge, electronica with a horn section. The bass is on overload and the loops sound like something lifted from an eighties rave and it’s got a huge groove that the tent are dancing to.

Reaching them like this, this far in full flow it’s not immediate it doesn’t grab you and through you about but the effect on the crowd in the tent is different they’ve been there since the beginning, this band have loads of promise and could become a huge festival crowd puller, certainly they’re amazed at the roar of appreciation they get from the crowd and I’m left hungry to see them live again. Not surprised Bowie likes them, they sound the sort of thing he would.
