Yeah I know I saw her, don’t laugh. Well I was enjoying Less Than Jake doing their thing and getting the crowd partying and I got all over exuberant and thought I’d go and take a break and errr ended up in the tent.

She’s very small, as in really tiny. I thought she would play with decks but nope she has a proper band behind her who are pretty smokin’. I’m happy I’m not the only muppet watching her, there’s a big crowd and she throws in extra lines for us to yell back.

Lady Sov is good at getting a crowd involved and has the performance patter down well, the band really make the tunes though and ‘Blah Blah Blah, Hoodie’ and the hit ‘9 to 5’ all go down rather well.

What makes it annoying though is her patter and her ‘innit’ style and the over the top ‘Landahn’ London accent. However it seems much like GLC her songs are capturing a generation who just possibly take the whole thing seriously. Or they enjoy hearing the same joke over and over, whichever it seems Lady Sovereign is here to stay.
